This started simply.

I’m a mom, born and raised in Hamilton, who was always looking for cleaner, fresher food options for my home. I’ve always loved farmers’ market season, the feeling of supporting local, knowing where your food comes from, and bringing home ingredients that just feel better.

But the reality is, life gets busy.

Between work, family, and everything in between, it’s not always easy to shop local the way we want to. I found myself wishing there was something simple. Something convenient. Something that could bring together the best of what our local community has to offer, without the extra time and effort.

Something that made life easier, while still giving my child fresh, healthy, local food.

So I created it.

The Local Essentials Box was built with families like mine in mind. It’s a way to bring together fresh milk, eggs, bread, and produce from local farms and makers, and deliver it straight to your door. Simple, thoughtful, and meant to be used.

We are proudly family-run. Deliveries are handled by my retired parents, which makes this even more meaningful to us. It’s something we are building together, and something we care deeply about.

Our goal is to support our community in a real way. To help shift even a small part of our weekly spending back into the hands of local farmers, bakers, and producers, rather than large corporations.

Delivery is included with every box:

  • Mondays for Hamilton and Ancaster
  • Tuesdays for Burlington

We’re just getting started, but the intention behind this is simple.

To bring the same freshness, care, and sense of connection that I’ve been looking for into my own home, and share it with yours.
